Demolition.

As one of the largest deconstruction and demolition businesses in the South Island, our services have been employed everywhere from single-storey residential dwellings to multi-level buildings and heavy commercial assignments.

Taggart Demolition

In the last five years alone, our team have successfully deconstructed and demolished over 350 buildings and structures in the South Island, with a cumulative value of approx. $45m.

Our deconstruction and demolition division is led by a management team with more than 30 years of combined industry knowledge and experience. Our strong reputation and track record has seen us feature on several discussion panels for government departments, including Kāinga Ora Demolition panel, Ministry of Education Demolition panel and the Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) demolition panel.

We’re committed to environmental practices, and employ a range of recycling options to help minimise costs for our clients, and reduce the volume of material deposited in landfills. Our efforts in this area saw us recognised with the Civil Contractors NZ  (Canterbury branch) Environmental Award in 2017 and 2018.

We’re also proud members of the New Zealand Demolition and Asbestos Association (NZDAA). In 2019 we received the NZDAA’s award for ‘Demolition Best Practice Project under $1M’, and in 2020 the same organisation awarded us both the Health and Safety Award, and the title of Demolition Contractor of the Year.
